| The video seemed a little messed up however still a good match.
The Lita DDT was not the best but I think it was the first and only time Trish got one so it was kinda special. | |

An interesting thing about the DDT is it originated as a botch. Jake and his opponent were trying something else, messed it up, and that was how they landed. But, the crowd thought it was a really impressive move, so Jake made it his finisher. He named it the DDT because he was asked what the move was called, so he just improvised that on the spot.
So, the answer to the often asked question of what the initials DDT mean is they don't mean anything.
I wonder how many famous moves started as botches? "Oops, we really screwed that one up... Oh, they liked it?"

The DDT is an iconic move [and the different variations are also really cool].
Thankfully Jake botched or the move wouldn't have been born when it did [probably would have eventually..]. | |
