Keeping with the cool casting that’s been happening there at Troublemaker studios on their “Machete” sequel, what with Mel Gibson playing the film’s bad guy and all, Robert Rodriguez has now added Charlie Sheen to the mix of his ’70s exploitation throwback.
Sheen, whose new sitcom “Anger Management” looks set to burn a few Nielsen boxes ablaze when it premieres next week, will play the U.S President in the flick.
Ironically, Sheen’s real-life pop Martin Sheen played the same part on telly’s “The West Wing”.
“Machete Kills”, said to be the first of two sequels Rodriguez has planned, stars Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Amber Heard, Zoe Saldana, Sofia Vergara, Tom Savini and Gibson.
