Female Wrestlers Take Part in TNA’s ‘Gut Check’ on the Road (Picture)

Former NCW Femmes Fatales Champion LuFisto celebrated fifteen years in professional wrestling by participating in TNA’s most recent “Gut Check” alongside Courtney Rush.

For those who don’t know, Gut Check is a two-hour seminar that covers “multiple aspects of professional wrestling… prospective professional wrestlers, announcers, managers, valets and referees will be evaluated through promos, drills, simulated matches and in-ring work by TNA Head Agent D-Lo Brown.”

The seminars also allow for management to scout upcoming talent to appear in the televised “Gut Check” segments that take place on Impact Wrestling’s show.

LuFisto tweeted a picture of herself with Rush and Brown from the Gut Check which took place prior to TNA’s live event in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.

Would you want one [or both] of these women to be signed?

don't know a lot about the other girl, but LuFisto is awesome.

I think both of these women are amazing wrestlers. Lufisto has had an amazing career showing that she is a queen in death match style as well as technical mat wrestling. Seeing her in person on multiple occasions, she is so much fun to watch. However, with all of the health problems she has had, I do not expect her to be in the business too much longer. Making it in one of the big two may be one of her last big goals in the business.

Courtney Rush, on the other hand, is an AMAZING talent that has been proving herself as an amazing character and an awesome competitor. She has been successful in her home independent promotions in Canada. With her single handed win of the Shimmer Tag Team Titles (along with Sara Del Rey, known as the Queens of Winning or DeathRush) she has proven herself as a force not to be overlooked here in the States.

Out of the two, I would sign Courtney Rush to a full time contract immediately. Then I would consider bringing Lufisto in on a paid-by-appearance short run.

Don't you think it is stupid that Lufisto has to pass this Gut Check?

I mean if they are serious about her then why not just sign her to a contract or at least per appearance?

I hope the women get a couple more Gut Checks before the concept ends.

I don't know if I would have really forced her to go through the Gut Check thing. They may have done it just to see how she works in person or maybe it was just a formality. I don't really know what all is involved with the Gut Check tryout outside of the practice match.
