The first match for SHINE Wrestling’s debut show on Internet pay per view has been announced.

Queen of Wrestling Sara Del Rey announced at last week’s EVOLVE 14 show that she will face former WWE Women’s Champion Jazz at SHINE 1 on July 20th.

Del Rey defeated Santana Garrett at the EVOLVE show in a preview match for SHINE, before making the announcement citing that she wanted some “actual competition”.

With two veterans of this caliber competing, it’s hard not to look forward SHINE later this month.

Shine is shaping up to be a really good. With Del Rey & Jazz headling the event and a really round roster, it should be a really good show.

Yeah that is a great roster.

Are they going to get a women's title and basically be another Shimmer/WSU/etc?

I don't think so....not at first at least. One of the guys involved in the promotion commented on facebook about it. His response was something to the effect of it took Shimmer a dozen volumes before they crowned a champion. But who knows.

I would expect a champion of some sort, but I would assume it would not come for a while. Since they are planning on doing monthly iPPVs, it may be before the end of the year.

So it is more like WSU in that it is a PPV a month and not so much like Shimmer that has 4 tapings every spring/fall?
