- There's an unconfirmed rumor going around that top independent women's wrestlers Sara Del Rey and Mercedes Martinez recently received WWE tryouts at FCW.

Interesting. Sara Del Rey and Courtney Rush lost the Shimmer Tag Titles at the NCW: Femme Fatales show last night. People on the Shimmer board are thinking it is more likely that Courtney is going to be signed with TNA, but it would be AWESOME to see Sara or Mercedes get a shot in WWE. Matches with Beth, Natalya, AJ, Sara, Mercedes, Paige, Sofia, and Kharma....it seems like a new "Golden Era" for the women could be on the horizon. I would be happy for both of them, but I'm going to wait to get too happy until something else comes out.

I have been hoping for a long time the WWE would get rid of some of the much less talented women and bring in some very talented ones. Now that it may be happening, I find it hard to believe.

Why can't Kelly be added to your list of women that can wrestle with Sara del ray and other shimmer girls she CAN have great matches with women who come from other wrestling shows she has good matches with Natalya and Beth.I got some videos too prove that.And also Eve as well.Just because some women don't start out as wrestlers before they get sign to WWE doesn't mean they can turn into good wrestlers.

In my opinion, Kelly Kelly is not on the same level as the other women. Any female wrestler could have a great match with Sara Del Rey....because SDR is able to carry anyone and make them look good. The women that I named, wouldn't need to be carried. While I can admit that Kelly Kelly has some talent in the ring, she isn't on par with the others.....not in my opinion at least.

I can understand that Kelly isn't on the same level as Beth and Nattie but I personally never did put Kelly on there level I just feel like people should not sleep on Kelly Kelly or any diva like Kelly because you never know what you can expect from them.I always found the Model turn wrestlers divas more entertaining because you actually get a chance to see them grow into wrestlers or see if this wrestling world is too much from them and see who makes it or not while the actual female wrestlers there's nothing really entertaing about them because you already know what to expect from them.

There is nothing entertaining about the non-model turned wrestlers because you know what to expect? You have obviously not seen much outside of the WWE have you? There are tons of women that started their career because they wanted to train at a local school breaking into the business that could put on matches MUCH more entertaining that Kelly Kelly or Maryse.

I don't watch other female wrestling shows other than what wwe does with the divas.I might see one from time to time but that's about it.You feel like the non model wrestlers are entertaining I personally don't and That's both our opinions.

This is a DIVA KNOCKOUT forum so I don't see what he big deal is.But let me ask you this one question let's say maryse and Kelly were part of shimmer before coming into WWE and wrestling the same way they were in WWE would your opinion change about them?

My opinion of this isn't simply about being part of the Shimmer Roster. Juliette the Huntress never stepped foot into a Shimmer ring before she signed on with Tough Enough and then FCW to become Sofia Cortez.

My opinion on it is that I enjoy watch women who got into the wrestling business because they wanted to be a wrestler. They went to a wrestling school to learn the craft. They work to improve. They didn't just answer a model casting call to be a stripper on TV or use it as a stepping stone into other avenues of entertainment. Kelly has been in the business way to long to be performing at the level she is. She should be a lot better. I feel about her like I do Velvet Sky.....this business just isn't for everyone.

You can like who want. That is your right. And I can like who I want. Just do get all up in arms when I don't consider your model turned stripper/dancer turned somewhat wrestler a solid competitor in the ring.
