Velvet Sky issued Twitter comments regarding her departure from TNA. "I have been granted my release by TNA at this time," Sky wrote. "It's what's best for me right now and I wanted to thank TNA and all the fans for their constant support in me. Stay tuned though...
"And I also want to thank Vince Russo for creating and believing in the team of The Beautiful People. We had a great run!"

| Wow I guess rumors can be correct.
Sucks for her fans/TNA.
I was never her biggest fan however it is still a loss I guess.
TNA and WWE are doing a HORRIBLE job with their women’s divisions..
I mean damn you could have a pretty good women division if you only used the people who were fired/didn’t renew their contracts from WWE/TNA in the last year or so.
Kharma, Melina, Maxine, Bellas, Maryse, Angelina Love, Velvet, Michelle McCool, and I’m sure soon to be Winter, Rosita, and Sarita [maybe Kelly]..
Sure a lot of those women are not great however there are at least 4-6 that could be the core of a great division.
