-- The Associated Press reported Friday evening that former WWE CEO Linda McMahon is closing in on another $50 million spent on her Senate campaign in Connecticut. The official total is $42.6 million, according to documents obtained by the Associated Press.
On Tuesday, Linda loaned her campaign $3.3 million, mainly for TV ads. McMahon's campaign says the increased spending is to combat efforts from "national Democrats, special interests, and super PACS" backing McMahon's opponent, Chris Murphy.

Linda's event is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the Global Plastics Recycling facility in Watertown. Clinton is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. in Library Park in Waterbury.
