What are some title chases that you have seen throughout the years, that led to crappy title reigns after said challenger/contender had won said championship that they were coveting?

Daniel Bryan Winning The World Title had some Great Matches but then lost it to Sheamus In 18 seconds at WM really ruined the Whole Thing and pissed me the fuck off.

Jillian's and Alicia Fox's Divas Championship Run took them both awhile and a long time to win a belt only to get buried by Melina also pissed me off they really didn't get any offense on her and they looked weak as hell too.

Layla's Women's Champion Run McCool Basically Took Over and that Wasn't Cool at All.Michelle once again took Layla's Spotlight from Her.

Any of Jeff Hardy's World Title reigns. Always such buildup, then he got screwed after 28 days as WWE Champion, 4 minutes as World Heavyweight Champion followed by another 28 day reign as World Heavyweight Champion. So 8 weeks across 3 reigns for the guy who was meant to be WWE's most popular superstar.

The same can be said for Any of Mick Foley's World title reigns.

Zack Ryder's US Title Reign.

Gail Kim's Women's Title Reign.

To name a few more.

Lita's 2nd women's title was truly an epic buildup to a title change and sadly an injury prevented her reign from become great. Teary Eyed

I think had she not been injured she would have held onto it for a while.

Others that I would consider to be good build ups to a title change and then for the reign to be shit include:

Zack Ryder's US Title run. He was built up pretty well and he lost the belt for reasons unknown in a month or so. No excuse imo.

I have to agree about Jeff Hardy's reigns especially his first. He should have held it a lot longer.

Also Orton and Edge's first reigns were way too short.

Pretty much all of Edges and Taker's world title reigns, there was a lot of build up, only for the reigns to be on the short side.

Any WWF title reign that happened during the year of 1999...there was what about 9-11 title changes across a 12 month span, ridiculous

Off the top of my head:

Edge's first WWE title run
Triple H's first WWE title run
Jeff Hardy's first WWE title run
Shawn Michaels' WHC title run

^ Oh wow I forgot HBK's last world title reign.

I was hoping he would keep it longer but he lost it the next month which was crappy. I know he didn't want to be champion but damn at least have a semi-decent reign.. :-/
