Leave guns in the hands of only the criminals then, while law abiding citizens are left defenseless.

they can throw all the gun bans they want out there but in the end it will result in criminals getting guns illegally, meanwhile regular citizens are defenseless from some asshole running into their homes, jobs or schools and shooting up the place.


personally i think the answer is more security and more police....especially in schools.

I don't think the plan Is about banning guns I think the plan is just to simply stop all these shootings going around.Even if we all had guns to protect ourselves is it really gonna be worth killing each other?.I think the plan should be a way to have guns be sold in a more diffrent manner because anyone can find a gun out here.

Banning guns means we won't have depressed teenagers going to the store and purchasing a gun and killing people.

Even if someone comes into your home and you shoot them, you can still be arrested regardless of it being self-defence. It would be seen that it wasn't reasonable for you to just shoot someone in defence for coming inside.

banning guns wont stop criminals from accessing them, though..so really it solves nothing.

and if criminals can get them...kids can too.

Same thing happens in Aus, but there are less shootings in schools of all places because guns arent as accessable. Theres a difference between going to the shop and buying a gun and having to go and find someone who will sell them a gun. Its not as accessable, even if it deters some of those depressed spare of the moment thinkers from killing lots of people, it makes a difference.

Why dont we allow regular people to possess nuclear bombs or tanks, when they might need them as defence if someone tries bombing their house?

nuclear weapons arent made to kill one person, that's why lol

besides..without guns thre's always homemade bombs that can be made (Oklahoma City bombing...)
