25 divas battle royal at wresltemania???

Regarding plans for the WWE Divas at this year's WrestleMania event, the company plans on holding a gigantic 25 Diva Battle Royal at the pay-per-view spectacular.

WWE plans on bringing back a few familiar faces for the match as officials are currently in the process of booking female performers from the past as a way of tying in the "25th Anniversary
of Wrestlemania" theme.

According to Tammy "Sunny" Sytch's Facebook page, the two-time Slammy Award winner has plans to show up at WrestleMania XXV in Houston. She wrote the following note today: "is getting ready to kick some DIVA ASS at Wrestlemania!!"

Sytch recently indicated on her Facebook account that she was starting to train for "something very important" in the next 30 days.

In a follow-up to Sytch's post, we can confirm the validity of her statement as the company does indeed have plans to use her in the 25 Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXV.

Sytch last appeared in a WWE ring on December 10, 2007 at the 15th Anniversary Raw show in a segment with Vince, Stephanie and Shane McMahon.

Following the appearance, the WWE website ran a Confidential-style video on Sytch with the former Diva saying it was her dream to return to World Wrestling Entertainment. Reportedly, the company gave some thought to bringing her back full-time as she met WWE's Senior Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis backstage at the 15th Anniversary Raw show and handed him her information and most recent photos. However, as the months wore on, Sytch did not reappear in WWE, so it would appear that they weren't interested in bringing her back as a full-fledged
Diva.

While most everyone expects Trish Stratus to take part in the 25-Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXV, we still have yet to actually hear anything on her decision to appear or not. We never even heard if she was actually contacted to appear at the event — it is only assumed that she was.

The former WWE Women's Champion recently appeared on CTV in Canada to read the weather as part of a promotion for celebrities to fill in for a local weatherman. In an interesting case of timing, Stratus debuted dark brown hair on the program, claiming her stylist decided to change things up. If nothing else, the chances of her appearing at WrestleMania have been lowered as a result — not to say that she won't be appearing at the pay-per-view spectacular anyway.

During her appearance on the news broadcast, Stratus was asked about her recent appearance in a WWE ring when Raw was at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto last December. Stratus said she just needs to get her fix once in a while.

"I made a little re-appearance, popped in, and kicked some butt," Stratus told CTV. "It was a good fix. I get a little fix every once in a while and I'm good."

there is speculation that Stephanie Mcmahon has made some girls keep things quiet to make it more of a surprise, so maybe Lita is one maybe even Trish is one that Steph has apporached to keep it quiet

I think it will be funny. Lets be real they dont care enough about the divison so they may as well do something thats entertaining in it. I think if they cared enough about the divison they wouldnt be making Melina a weak champ.

according to some source i have, that blue has so ask him, as i dont know what the source is. but molly, victoria and sunny are all in it....or near enough, i cant realy remeber what it said other then it will be mollys first match in several years

Lita has already said she aint coming. She is doing a charity signing event in Houston for Booker T and Sharmell's association. There will be other top names of wrestling there the same weekend as Wrestlemania. LOL. Vince tried to even get the event shut down or moved but failed.

Me too. I was considering flying to Houston to attend Booker and Sharmells event, especially since it is a fund raiser for charity. Just have to much going on here at the moment though. Hopefully Booker will do it again next year.

This match, will be horrid. But it will be somewhat "entertaining" I guess. It'll be nice to see some divas from the past; and actually made me enjoy divas wrestling. Unlike the atrocity is now.
