According to The Wrestling Observer, while the TNA vs WWE lawsuit was settled last week, it remains unknown whether WWE paid TNA an undisclosed settlement amount or if TNA simply dropped the suit. WWE refused to comment on the settlement publicly.
Prior to the settlement, the report notes that WWE was under "strict orders" not to have any contact, professionally, or even socially, with any talent under contract to TNA, including Ric Flair. The report furthers that orders were so strict Gerald Brisco was told not to communicate with his own son, Wes Brisco, who works for TNA.
At one point, it's being said TNA attempted to get an injunction filed barring WWE from hiring any former talents no longer under contract to the company, however, that attempt failed as WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt claimed WWE had no interest in signing any talent, including Ric Flair, that had formerly worked for TNA. It is believed Flair signed a nightly deal with WWE so that he was free to work his scheduled All Japan dates.
