Seven-time WWE Women’s Champion Trish Stratus has been contacted for induction into this year’s Hall of Fame, according to various reports today.

The former WWE Diva — arguably the most popular and decorated Diva in company history — would join Hardcore Legend Mick Foley as this year’s top inductees when the ceremony takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York City the night before WrestleMania 29.

Joining WWE in 2000, Trish’s career in the company was nothing short of a storybook run, winning the Women’s Championship on seven occasions, competing at WrestleMania, main eventing Raw, being crowned Babe of the Year three times and Raw’s Diva of the Decade. Meanwhile, her memorable feuds with Lita and Mickie James are considered some of the Divas division’s best work.

Since her retirement in 2006, Trish has returned a handful of times, perhaps most significantly in 2011 as a trainer on USA Network’s revival of Tough Enough and as a competitor at WrestleMania 27.

Well its not like she Dosent deserve it we all knew she was gonna be put into the HOF sooner or later.

While I think she is talented, I think there are other women I would like to see inducted before her. That being said, I think she is worthy of the honor.

Definitely deserving. Hopefully, this opens the door for Lita & Sable, next year.

Another reason it should be now... This would make Trish the youngest inductee, ever. Who holds that distinction, currently?

I really do hope that one day WWE and Chyna can come on good terms and put her in as well she definitely deserves it.

I'll be damned if she gets inducted before some of the glorious ladies who built the women's wrestling division.

This is how I feel.

Lord knows I LOVE Trish but I think there are quite a few women who should go in before her.

I would think they would induct her next time WM is in Toronto too. Seems premature since we all know she will get in within 10 years.

Hutchinson is also credited with training the likes of Edge, Christian, current TNA Knockout Gail Kim and former Knockout Traci Brooks.

it's an amazing class this year, already, with Sammartino, Backlund, Foley, & Trish. I guess they decided to pull out all the stops since the ceremony's at MSG, this year.

That just happens to be where her final Raw match was.

Yeah this class is probably the best that I can remember.

I hope the next two/three people/teams etc are strong so it doesn't bring the overall class' prestige down.
