TNA Gut Check Results: Lei'D Tapa Gets Upset 'Win' [Imo]

On tonight’s Impact, TNA brought aboard its newest Knockout.

Last week, Ivelisse Velez and Lei’D Tapa competed in the ring as part of TNA’s Gut Check challenge. Ivelisse came out with a win, but would that translate into a contract offer?

Just the opposite, as it turned out. Early in tonight’s show, Lei’D and Ivelisse faced the judges. Ivelisse was given the axe and would not advance in the challenge.

Later in the night, Lei’D got the chance to speak in the ring and convince the judges that she deserved a spot on the roster. When all was said and done, Lei’d was offered a contract and became TNA’s newest Knockout.

Yeah I still think Ivelisse will get signed. Plus, with the One Night Only KO PPV coming up, they're gonna need more KOs. With that being said, I'm ambivalent about both of them. I'm not excited about Lei'D Tapa and I've never connected with Ivelisse. Maybe it's just my prejudice against the latter but I've never gotten over the fact how bitter she was when she got injured on Tough Enough and kept going on and on about Alicia's sister....

I think I am the same with you, there is something more likeable about Lei'D ... shes a little bit more original in the sense that she looks totally different, she is rather big in height sense.

Not only that I am just greatful that someone unknown (never heard of her til this) but I am also greatful it isn't your usual WWE reject getting signed.

So Glad Sofia Cortez Didn't win I was never a fan of her so glad WWE Released her and So glad Lei'D won I just don't understand why the crowd hates her so much maybe because she Dosent look like a Knockout but overall Im very happy she won its someone NEW not a former Diva.

I just feel that Ivelisse was ready NOW whereas Lei'D Tapa is certainly not and will probably go the Taelor Hendrix route of never appearing on Impact and instead being at OVW for a while [so far 8+ months..?]...

Oh well, there is still a chance Ivelisse will get signed. :-/

I hope and pray Taelor Hendrix Doesn't come back not after some OVW videos I saw of her she is trash.

I was really hoping both would be signed as the KO division needs some desperate help. I think Lei'D Tapa is a good fit for the division. While not the best wrestler, I think she is worthy of being on TV now while still working down in OVW. It would be nice to see her and Taeler get some screen time. After some of the women that TNA has put in the ring, these two are long overdue for proper role.
