WWE.com has learned that WWE Champion John Cena sustained an injury during WWE's European tour. The WWE Champion injured his right Achilles tendon while battling Ryback.

The injury raises questions about the scheduled match between Cena and Ryback at Extreme Rules on May 19. What lies ahead for the Cenation leader? Does this put Ryback one step closer to capturing the WWE Title?

There are no details yet about Cena's expected recovery time.

Providing it's true, this could be very worrying for WWE.

- As noted earlier, John Cena suffered an injury to his right Achilles tendon in a match overseas, according to WWE.com.

Their report was vague and didn't really mention the extent of the injury or how Cena was hurt but they did however credit the injury to Ryback.

WWE's RAW tour ended with a show last night in Lodz, Poland and the crew is on their way back for RAW in Columbus, Ohio, tomorrow night.

At last night's event, Cena teamed with Kane and Daniel Bryan to defeat Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston - the same match they had done previous nights on tour. It's worth noting that no fan reports from last night's show mentioned anything about an injury.

WWE Champion John Cena tweeted the following on Sunday afternoon after WWE.com reported that he suffered an achilles tendon injury on tour:

"Finally home from a great European tour. I'm banged up, but I'm not going to miss Monday Night #Raw."

I think this should lead to Ryback winning the Title, having Cena miss a month or two, return for vengeance claiming that Ryback hasn't defeated Cena when in full health, leading up to a Title match for Summerslam.

With the exception of this one, all reports I've seen have suggested that the injury was unknown until Cena's tweet and no-ones sure how or when he got injured. And anyways, crediting Ryback with the injury could be used in storyline, suggesting later that Ryback caused the injury to weaken Cena before their matchup.

If it isn't torn, Cena isn't dropping the title.

I say Give Ryback The Title Have Cena sit out for a awhile And Give Ryback this big ego that he took Cena out.This Gives WWE A Chance to produce new main Eventers while Cena and punk are away.Im Pretty Sure Ryback,Damin Sandow,Cody Rhodes,Daniel Bryan,Kane,Dolph Ziggler,Randy Orton,Etc can hold it down for a few months.
