Jay Briscoe Gets Dropped By Twitter After Anti-Gay Tweet [A Video Of His Apology Posted]

-- ROH's World champion, Jay Briscoe, who has had made controversial remarks on Twitter in the past, vowed to "fucking shoot" anyone who teaches his kids about his home-state of Delaware voting to legally recognize marriage between the same gender.

Because of that Briscoe's Twitter account has been deactivated.

Fucked up thing is that if you go to his ROH profile page, that's the tweet that pops up lol.

Wow that's messed up on his part.Is he the one with the missing front teeth because that shit is gross.

Barring the part where he threatened to shoot someone (i bolded that part so no one takes comments about this out of context, as usual), he is entitled to voice his opinion on tihs issue. If he feels he doesnt want his kids to be taught about it by someone else, thats HIS right as a parent to do so. If people have the right to forcefully tell everyone that its ok for gay marriage to happen, then its right for someone to be opposed to it. People shouldnt have to live in fear of being attacked because their views arent the same as someone elses. If he worded it differently, im sure he still would of been attacked by all sides on it.

He allegedly apologized for that statement.

^ ROH apologized and he will do so later on as well as donate his pay for 2 shows to an anti-hate charity.

Ring of Honor issued the following statement Thursday evening:

"(ROH World champion) Jay Briscoe would like to again express his sincerest apologies and regrets to all, especially his young fans, for his recent hateful Twitter comment. Ring of Honor has insisted that Jay also make a public apology at the Ring of Honor event this Saturday night (in Belle Vernon, Pa.). Jay will address the public during the event.

In addition to this apology, Ring of Honor and Jay have agreed that he will donate his full pay from the next two Ring of Honor events to the Partners Against Hate charitable organization. Partners Against Hate was created to help prevent, deter, and reduce juvenile hate-related behavior."

And you know why? Because we live in a world where EVERYONE has believes and opinions. Some societies are basically restricted from voicing their opinions; but fortunately for us, we can say just about anything we want without repercussions. Some people will agree with you and others will disagree. And some of those who disagree will find ways to attack you, verbally or physically.

I dont agree with what he said, but Dead and NCD already said it. He can say what he wants and shouldnt feel like he has to apologize. But he is in the entertanment buiness, so he cant say what he wants. Our society has made up that if you are an entertanier you cant say what you want unless you want to get people upset.
