WWE Raw house show results May 25, 2013 Red Deer, Alberta, Canada Report by Jorden Clarke and John Ferguson, PWTorch correspondents
(1) R-Truth beat Antonio Cesaro.
(2) Bray Wyatt beat Zack Ryder. Can't wait to see Wyatt on the main roster.
(3) Kofi Kingston beat U.S. champion Dean Ambrose via DQ; Ambrose retained the U.S. Title. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins interfered to cause the DQ. Team Hell No made the save, leading into...
(4) Kofi Kingston & Daniel Bryan & Kane beat The Shield in a six-man tag. This replaced the advertised Tag Title match.
Post-match, Kane delivered a chokeslam, then Bryan delivered an impressive chokeslam on Rollins. This led to an argument between Bryan and Kane. They shoved each other a couple times, but ended up hugging it out. The crowd loved it.
(5) Divas champion Kaitlyn beat Tamina Snuka (w/Vickie Guerrero) to retain the Divas Title. The Bellas were advertised, but were not there. This match was a good substitution.
(6) The New Age Outlaws (w/Shawn Michaels) beat Team Rhodes Scholars. Great match, and the crowd was into it big time. Sandow is a great heel, as his selling of moves was entertaining. HBK hit Sweet Chin Music on Cody with the ref distracted and Road Dogg got the pin. NAO really seemed to enjoy themselves and they got a great reaction.
(7) Ryback beat Chris Jericho in a No DQ match. This was a Fan Vote match with the options being No DQ or 2/3 Falls. Solid match with good action in and out of the ring. They made use of the stairs, kendo stick, and a table. Jericho was by far the biggest pop of the night, no surprise.
From John: Overall, I thought it was a great show. It was a nice change of pace from the painful TV tapings and the wrestlers interacted well with some pretty heavy heckling at times. All in all, a good time. | |
