(1) Tons of Funk beat Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow). Funk won with a double splash. Basic comedy match with a lot of crowd play.
(2) Divas champion Kaitlyn beat A.J. Lee. Kaitlyn fought from underneath most of the match. A.J. sold like her boyfriend on the comeback and Kaitlyn won with a great-looking spear. She still needs better music, though.
(3) The Miz beat Antonio Cesaro beat submission in a No DQ match. This was a Fan's Choice match. Miz was way over with the crowd, while Cesaro is so mis-used. Miz won with the figure-four.
During Miz's celebration, The Shield hit the ring and put a beat down on Miz. Team Hell No and R-Truth made the save, leading to...
(4) Kane & Daniel Bryan & R-Truth beat The Shield via DQ in a six-man tag match. Not as good as their TV matches. The crowd was hot for Team Hell No, but Truth got no reaction. Kane got the hot tag and cleared the ring, then the finish was Kane attempting a chokeslam on Ambrose, but Reigns hits Kane with a chair for the DQ. Bryan saved Kane from the triple powerbomb with a chair shot to Reigns.
(5) IC champion Wade Barrett beat Sheamus via count-out. Physical match. Nothing much to note.
(6) Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez beat World Hvt. champion Dolph Ziggler & Big E. Langston via submission. Rodriguez took most of the offense, with Ziggler getting a small amount of ring time. The finish was Ziggler tapping to the armbar.
(7) WWE champion John Cena beat Ryback in a Tables match. Short, straight-forward match with only a few nearfalls. Cena won after countering the Shell Shock into an AA through the table. The crowd was crazy for Cena. | |
