Update WWE Releases Statement on Kane Doubtful for MITB

WWE.com has released an official statement on Kane following an attack at the hands of the newly debuting Wyatt Family.

“Due to the head and neck trauma suffered by Kane, we precautiously immobilized his cervical spine with a cervical collar. He’s been transported to a local trauma facility and is currently undergoing further evaluation.”

Following the attack, Kane was carted off on a stretcher and taken to a local medical facility.

“After [Kane] was put into the ambulance, he was coherent; he was speaking to us and following simple commands. The biggest concern that we have is any sort of brain or cervical spine trauma that may be significant enough to either warrant surgery, or an extended period of time away from the ring.”

Obviously this is a storyline injury used to promote the debut of the Wyatt Family, but given WWE's recent crack down (both in story and real life) on concussions, there's a good chance that Kane could be removed from this weekend's WWE All-Stars Money in the Bank match.

My guess is yes. I think if they have Kane miss I got to give WWE Credit cause it makes the Wyatt look way better being able to do that to a guy who is suppose to be much like the Undertaker.

WWE has updated Kane's status following a brutal assault by the debuting Wyatt Family, and they are now listing the Big Red Machine as "doubtful" for this Sunday's Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

"Following the ambush, Kane is now doubtful to compete in the Money in the Bank All-Stars Ladder Match, sources told WWE.com Tuesday afternoon. The Wyatt Family has left no doubts about their staying power by potentially taking one of WWE's most iconic Superstars out of the Money in the Bank All-Stars Match just days before the much-anticipated pay-per-view contest. Countless competitors have crossed paths with the 11-time Tag Team Champion, but few have been able to keep The Big Red Monster down for any prolonged period of time."

At this time, there has been no word from WWE as to whether they plan to replace Kane in the Money in the Bank ladder match, or simply run with six participants. If WWE was to pick a replacement, the pickings are slim given that most, if not all of the active main event roster has been booked for this Sunday's show.
