| The current plan for Summerslam is to have Daniel Bryan defeat John Cena for the WWE title, only for Randy Orton to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, take the belt from Bryan and make the heel turn he's been rumored to make for some time now.
WWE.com reported that Orton was "injured" on Smackdown, and it's possible that WWE could hype the injury on RAW and then take Orton off of television. This would make his cash-in an even bigger surprise at the event. Another reason some think Orton is cashing in is because there is no scheduled rematch between Cena and Bryan at Night of Champions this year.

I don't mind it when it's because of MitB, as that's the point of risking everything to win the ladder match. Now a WM IX situation where someone comes out and challenges for the title after a championship match, that's just dumb. | |

| I called this happening a couple days ago especially given the recent hatred between Randy and Bryan, just made sense. This will definitely make the fans turn against Randy and is the perfect way for him to turn heel IMO since Bryan is so over. It'd be better to see Bryan chase the title anyway. | |
