| Despite some conflicting reports, F4WOnline is claiming Curtis Axel's attack on Daniel Bryan at the WWE MITB pay per view wasn't all for nothing originally. The initial plans called for Axel and Bryan to follow up with a match on the July 15th edition of Raw. This would have pushed everything else we've seen back a week. John Cena would have made the choice for his SummerSlam opponent the following week (7/22), the contract signing and gauntlet match would have taken place on July 29th, and the Ryback/Cena Tables Match would have gone down a week later. That would have just left the go-home edition of Raw before SummerSlam. There's still no reason being given as to why WWE scrapped those plans, but at least it somewhat proves Axel's attack wasn't as completely random as it seemed to be.

| I thought Bryan was going to have to face him at SS for the IC belt.
So happy that didn't happen but it makes little sense that he didn't at least face him on Raw/SD. | |
