- An mailer was sent today stating that tickets for the WWE Battleground pay-per-view, which was previously titled Over the Limit, on October 6th at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, NY go on sale on August 3rd. The mailer was posted on our Facebook page earlier today, which you can view at facebook.com/WrestlingINC.

That's my birthday. Too bad they're not gonna be anywhere near Florida cause that would've been a great present.

October has been Over The Limit in recent years, but who knows if they aren't getting rid of a different PPV and moving OtL to another month.

Over The Limit started in 2010 and it has been in May ever year.

For 2013 it was moved to October but now it is getting its' name changed.

I agree though I miss No Mercy [and Unforgiven/Backlash]..

War Games is almost like Royal Rumble but with 3 rings? That would be awesome as fuck!

That's World War 3, and that's definitely not coming back.

War Games is the 4 vs. 4 or 5 vs. 5 match in two rings. There's a cage surrounding the outer edges of the rings and a roof on top. The two teams alternate men, and the match can only be won by submission once everyone is in the ring.

As noted earlier, WWE has changed their October pay-per-view event to Battleground. WWE made the announcement on their official website:

"On Sunday, Oct. 6, WWE pay-per-view returns to Buffalo, N.Y., for the first time in two years with an all-new, landmark event: WWE Battleground!"

"Featuring all of the top WWE Superstars and Divas — including WWE Champion John Cena, CM Punk, Rob Van Dam, 'Mr. Money in the Bank' Randy Orton and more — the inaugural WWE Battleground is sure to be a spectacular that no WWE fan will want to miss."
