This week brought word that Joy Ride 3 will begin shooting this fall for a DVD/Blu-ray release next summer. And, thanks to director Declan O'Brien, the first bit of casting news has been revealed.
According O'Brien, speaking to the Winnipeg Free Press (thanks to F13The Franchise for the heads-up), Ken Kirzinger is going to play Rusty Nail, the maniacal truck driver of the first two films.
Kirzinger, of course, is a former Jason Voorhees, having played the almight masked one in Freddy vs. Jason.
How much of Kirzinger will we see? Rusty is usually kept to the shadows and we mostly hear his voice, so we'll see.
Ted Levine provided the voice of Nail in the first movie, with Matthew Kimbrough playing Nail in the flesh.
