Despite the fact that he will no longer be involved with the sequel to the critically acclaimed Chronicle, it sounds as if a superhero movie of some sort may still be on the cards for screenwriter and director Max Landis. In a recent Reddit Q&A session (via ComicBook.com), Landis apparently confirmed that he is indeed interested in helming a comic book movie and replied with, "You'll see," when asked which superhero he would most like to bring to the big screen. When specifically asked about which film, TV show or character he would most like to reboot given the chance, Landis added, "You'll know sooner than you think." Could it be Wonder Woman? Well, in regards to WRITING a superhero movie at some point, he expressed interest in: "Either a version of Green Lantern that played like ET meets Stand By Me using the goth/punk [scene] and Kyle Raynor, or Wonder-Woman, using a pitch that I intend to make to WB." Oh, and like pretty much everyone recently, Landis was asked to share his thoughts on Zack Snyder and Warner Bros.' recent decision to cast Ben Affleck as Batman. "Everyone's version of Batman would be different, but I think Affleck is probably fine." So, some pretty vague comments from the writer here, but it definitely sounds as if he has something big on the horizon. Whether that is indeed a superhero movie remains to be seen, but it certainly sounds like an extremely likely possibility...
