Holy home video! After years of waiting (and only being available to view as re-runs or on bootleg), Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has confirmed that the campy 1960s live-action Batman television series starring Adam West and Burt Ward as the Caped Crusaders will finally be released on home video as a complete-series set later this year.
Conan O'Brien first Tweeted about it, followed by a report at USA Today and word to media outlets from reps at Warners. The home video rights to the Batman TV series had long been a major legal headache, but that's now evidently all been settled.
No official word yet on an exact release date, pricing, or special features, but for generations of Bat-fans this will surely be a holiday must-have this year.
