Update! : J.J Abrams says he’s finished the script for “Star Wars Episode VII”. “We’re working really hard and we’ve got our script and we’re in deep prep,” Abrams tells The Wrap. “Full steam ahead, y’know?”
Abrams also confirmed that Jesse Plemons had indeed auditioned for the movie but didn’t say whether or not the young actor was the ‘lock’ he’s reported as being.
According to the boys at Latino Review, JJ Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan’s draft of “Star Wars Episode VII” will fix on The Skywalker clan – predominately, Ben Skywalker – Luke’s lad. Abrams and Kasdan took over from Michael Arndt, whose draft apparently didn’t include ‘enough’ of the original trio -Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia – and fixed on the Solo youngsters. The changes and kerfuffles are only a good sign as I see it, the camp are trying to get this thing as perfect as possible before rolling an inch of film – and yes, JJ and Kasdan are right, this is indeed the Skywalker story.
