I just like them because they are something a little different. plus I have tons of GIFs on my pc since I use them for avatars/sigs on other sites.

Yeah, I think you should definitely keep doing them. I may use one in the future if you don't mind

oh, i just thought you had to put them like that. i know a quick and simple way that you can make a sig (make sure to leave room for the GIF), and put the GIF in it. it's web-based.

now if only i could remember the link..

okay, vix:

file -> open

then you open the file you want.

edit -> overlay.

upload the GIF with the upload bar that should appear, then hit apply.

drag the image to your desired position and press apply (look through settings is just transparency, i believe, so you can ignore that if you wish.)

after you hit apply, it should refresh in the position you have it. from there you can save it and upload it to tinypic, photobucket, etc.

there you are!

save it as a .gif file, besides, they don't lose motion..you just see a cap of them in your saved picture; you can't open them as motion in Photoshop or Gimp or any other picture openers I don't believe....you just save them, and if you were to upload them to tinypic, they would work

yeah in GIMP in they open as frames (layers)

yeah, thats why the website is easier, because it's much harder to recreate the GIF in gimp

I'm having trouble with the background image.

Plus with joey's tutorial, I think the PA sig will come out alot better than what I was originally going to do with it.

yeah i noticed it too...which i dont get because when i hit the playback in GIMP it was fine.

somehow it ended up blurred once I saved it and then uploaded to tinypic.

huh. try sharpening the image by about 50, put the gif in, then try it.

i dunno.
