Renee Montoya, The Riddler, and Crispus Allen are now expected to be regulars on the upcoming show Gotham, a live-action origin story for young Bruce Wayne and police detective Jim Gordon.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cory Michael Smith, Victoria Cartagena, and Andrew Stewart Jones have joined Gotham as series regulars, after guest-starring in the pilot episode of the Fox TV show. Smith portrays Edward Nygma, who becomes the infamous Riddler, while Cartagena (Elementary) plays Montoya, another detective with Gordon in the Gotham Police Department. Finally, Jones (The Good Wife, 30 Rock) is Crispus Allen, who partnered with Montoya in the comics and eventually became the Spectre, though that's unlikely in the series.

The relatively young cast will be seen in Gotham on Monday nights on Fox at 8 p.m., airing before Sleepy Hollow. The drama show was picked up for series just last week, and creator/showrunner Bruno Heller (The Mentalist) is already promising a fantastic-looking series, even saying it will surpass the visuals of the Batman films.
