Hijo del Santo returned to the promotion that he helped build last night as he was Joaquin Roldan’s big surprise for Konnan and will be in the big 10-man tag match at Triplemania to determine who owns AAA. Santo told the press afterwards that he returned to AAA to help the family of Antonio Pena get back control of their promotion from Konnan who is trying to run the promotion into the ground. Santo said that he would do whatever he had to do to help the Roldan’s regain control and said that he was welcomed back to AAA with open arms by the true wrestlers and fans of the promotion bringing back memories of working the debut show some 17 years ago.
At the show last night when Santo appeared the fans went crazy chanting his name where he thanked them and Joaquin Roldan for giving him the chance to come back. Santo said that he has stayed away from AAA for 14 years for reasons of his own but he has been watching AAA lately under the control of Konnan and he decided that he can’t let the promotion he helped create go down the toilet. Santo said that the Pena family are the true owners of AAA and he is going to help return the promotion to them. The crowd then started chanting “FUERA, FUERA, FUERA” at Konnan and this sounded like a dynamite angle.

3. AAA Cruiserweight Title Tournament – Semifinals: Extreme Tiger beat Jack Evans when Teddy Hart interfered costing Jack the match after Jack told him he didn’t want his help. La Legion then destroyed Evans afterwards kicking him out.
4. AAA Cruiserweight Title Tournament – Semifinals: Alex Koslov defeated Nicho el Millionario with help from Marco Corleone.
5. Dr. Wagner Jr./La Parka Jr./Super Fly beat Cuervo/Escoria/Ozz
6. Chessman/Electroshock/Kenzo Suzuki defeated Latin Lover/Marco Corleone/El Mesias by countout. Wagner did commentary for the match which would distract Mesias. Everyone would brawl on the floor as the ref counted but Electro would beat the count to win the match. Nicho then came out and jumped Marco with the rest of La Legion destroying Latin & Mesias before Konnan demanded that Joaquin Roldan show up and reveal the mystery man on his team. Roldan showed up and had HIJO DEL SANTO with him which shocked everyone and the rest was covered earlier.
