It’s been a long time since Roderick Strong first looked across the ROH ring at KENTA. It was at “Throwdown” on 6/23/06 when their initial encounter took place, and a lot has changed since that time nearly 3 years ago. KENTA is the current & 3-time GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion while Strong is a former ROH World Tag Team Champion, and has developed into one of the cornerstones of Ring of Honor.
And ever since Strong came back from his first ever tour of Pro Wrestling NOAH he has been on quite a roll here in ROH. With victories over Jay Briscoe, The American Wolves, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Alex Koslov, and Titus & King, as well as an epic title match with Jerry Lynn in Dayton, Roderick has never looked better. And now, as he works towards gaining another shot at the ROH Gold, Strong and KENTA will meet once again on Friday night, May 29th, as part of the “ROH on HDNet” TV tapings in Philadelphia, PA.
It’s shaping up to be a tough weekend for the former ROH Tag champ since, as announced yesterday, he will have to face Jay Briscoe the following night, but with the form Roderick has been in over the past few months, it’s a challenge he is more than up for.
Tickets are available right here at www.rohwrestling.com for both sets of HDNet tapings on the 29th and 30th of May, and you can save up to 40% off until Thursday morning! Don’t miss out on your opportunity to save some cash, catch the greatest wrestling in the United States, and see “Nature Boy” Ric Flair live and in person!
