The Best Years or Degrassi?

Which one is better? I actually never saw The Best Years but im planning on watching the first season only because erm my obsession is only on that season.

Degrassi is pretty ok but they sure have some slutty characters. I ing hate Emma, Ellie and Ashley.

Mannie is ok and Liberty is a bore.

I always loved the bad ones lol

Holly J, Paige, Alex and Hazel(whom deserved more screen time)

I wanted JT to slap Liberty with a fish in the beginning but I like her now.

I find Degrassi incredibly overated! I watch it and all but the stories make no sense.


Couples break up and move on rather quickly(Especially ones that supposedly love eachother) They use the "L" word when there really young and they don't know the definition of love. It's unrealistic lol

The Best Years(First Season) was written beautifully, I felt a connection with quite a few characters and they had real issues not petty ones.
They fucked up though when three of there leads (Devon, Dawn and Trent) were not brought back for season 2. If they do a season 3(Which I hope) those characters need to return especially Samantha's true love Devon.

Alright watch episode one-5 if you can and then we can talk about them. Im so terrified of watching the other eppy's because that's when things go down hill for my couple UGH! But i tell ya in the first 5 episodes there is lots of drama between Devon and Sam, I fell in love with them really quick haha

im just barely finished the second one . and about to start the 3rd. damn that bitch kathryn. these people are so mean. lol. the poor girl gets dyed purple.

I love degrassi for starters 80% of the teens in the show......are teens. And it targets major angles that most teens usually face. You say the word "love" is thrown in there to much, maybe that's exacally the message. Most kids 12 to 16/17 think they know what love is....especially the tweeners. But in most cases they don't. 40% of those relationships last when they grow over 20, while of those 40%, 5% usually have a succesfull long relationship for the rest of their life.

Say what you want, this show was never created to draw high rating (if so it would have been canceled AGES ago), it was meant to send a message, which it usually does. At times they seem VERY cheesy, but most times it's stuffs some people face daily.

I still watch it and think they are really changing things from how they used to be, we now have Religious issue's, Gay Steriod Jock, and a few over the top things...but still has it's minor messages they send. The active is average at best, it's pretty mediocre...but it has a huge fan following for lord knows what

it was kind of sad. he really wasnt that important to the show so its ok . yea it did bring them closer together. it helped a lot cause they all went thru it. he does have a nice body. she's lucky that that woman came to her rescue otherwise she'd be screwed.
