According to sources, former WWE star Elijah Burke has signed with TNA Wrestling and will be debuting in the company soon with a new ring name.

Burke had a tryout match with TNA back late May in a match with former WWE developmental wrestler Shawn Spears who spent time briefly on the Smackdown brand.

Both got rave reviews by TNA officials following their match. Jeremy Borash also hinted recently on his official Twitter page that "Elijah Burke" would not be coming to TNA, seeming to suggest that he would be coming in under a new name. Burke was released by WWE in October 2008 and has recently spent time in Ohio Valley Wrestling (a former developmental territory for WWE) where he got his start.

It's about time He got back into the ring, this guy had skillz! I don't know if you people noticed, but WWE didn't give him the push he deserved.. I just hope TNA doesn't miss use the guy to.

FUCK YES!

I absolutely love this guys in ring ability and his mic skills. He will be a great addition to the X Division.. or even the main event. He has enough potential for that in my opinion.

I remember his matches with CM Punk, and those were awesome. I really look forward to Burke in TNA..

i will stop complaining when purists stop mocking and heckling ppl for liking someone who to them isnt pure. whats there to gain in that?

and i loved his work on ecw...the guy shoulda been champ instead of morrison imo

Yeah.. his work on ECW was great. Why he never got the strap is beyond me.

Elijah Burke is severly underrated, and one of the best talented stars currently. It's better then signing worthless pieces of trash like Test and Rikishi

my point was we dont know whether or not TNA will use his talent, so we cant be sure as to whether or not they are "recognising" it Curious

I am really excited about this signing I expected wwe to do big things with him and they failed. Sadly I ain't sure if he will ever shine in TNA with their locked in main eventers at times. But If Aj Styles can get a world title shot then so should Burke.

He will shine in the X division along with The Guns and Brian Kendrick(we all know he'll be signed in 90 days) lol

I'm starting to think TNA needs a second show, to much contracted wrestlers running around.
