August 21, 2009 - Activision and Treyarch have announced that the third map pack for Call of Duty: World at War has surpassed one million in downloads within its first weekend of availability. At 800 Microsoft points (or US $9.99), that's quite a lot of income. All told, the three World at War map packs have sold more than 6.5 million copies combined.
Mark Lamia, studio head of Treyarch, offered his thanks for the fan support (and money, no doubt). "The support and enthusiasm from the Call of Duty: World at War online community is tremendous . The team is appreciative that so many players from around the world have continued to enjoy the game and all of the downloadable content that we have produced."
