Aunts Thelma and Louise were at their favorite restaurant BYOF (Bring Your Own Food) and spotted TNA president Dixie Carter in the next booth with friends. Being natural eavesdroppers, they eavesdropped.

Dixie was celebrating TNA's new deal with Spike TV (beginning Oct.1) that has a three-year extension of the weekly "Impact" program plus plans for 10 one-hour original specials.

And with this new deal, apparently Dixie is taking a far more active role in TNA.

She said, "We're looking to shake things up and in the future do some things differently."

One idea is moving Thursday's "Impact" to Monday, as Carter said, "I'd love to go head-to-head with "Raw."

Also, she's not a fan of pay events (meaning less of them?), wants to focus on TNA's younger talent such as A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe and is getting involved with bookings.

So where does it leave TNA founder Jeff Jarrett?

"Jeff is working on a variety of new projects and programming," Dixie added, "and as far as Jeff getting into the ring, I hope it's sooner rather than later."

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of Jarrett. With Jeff's dwindling influence and Carter's apparent increasing pull, dare we say TNA is starting to whistle Dixie? We dare!

TNA's Traci Brooks will be neither on the cover nor inside the pages of November's Playboy as previously reported. But all is not lost if you're a member of Playboy's "Cyber Club," as her pix will be posted Sept.17.

I would watch TNA over Raw because Raw is dreadful.

Dixie is seriously fucking shit up

almost all of the title matches are either triple threat or fatal 4 ways. they need more 1 on 1 so matches so they can mean more.

I would like to see her adapt the old wcw idea of putting on ppv like shows on regular tv and giving the tv show a special name. Instead of trying to get fans to pay for 12 ppvs.

id like to see a war between the two
but they more then likely would lose worse then WCW did
and if i was in America, i probs would watch TNA
but i dont have to choose, as it would still get played on Saturday

Hey LL, that might change since the original date of TNA was changed.

Oh boy. I think the WWE would do to TNA what they are doing to ROH right now. ROH's show does come on around the same time Raw does. So, instead of making a better program, the WWE uses the greatest power in the world.. Cold. Hard. Cash.

ROH doesnt compete with Raw directly, it comes on at 8 and goes off at 9. and WWE is spending cash because ROH cant pay their talent atm

TBH unless Spike and TNA actually start to market themselfs better they will get distoried if moved to monday nights.
