Backstage News: Christy Hemme & Lacey Von Erich TNA Futures

As noted earlier, Christy Hemme announced last week she will no longer compete inside a wrestling ring after recent bouts left her feeling tense and nervous about possibly aggravating her serious neck injury further. The winner of the inaugural Diva Search competition posted a blog on her MySpace explaining her decision to leave the ring behind. Hemme wrote: "So, lil update, my neck is in fabulous shape. Still perfectly intact and healed up. I have obviously not been too present in the six sided ring since being cleared to wrestle a couple months ago. Thing is, I came back from with a some hesitation, understandable after having the seriousneck injury . I kept waiting for the hesitation to dissipate in my passion. It became very obvious for me in the last match I had on TV that is wasn't going away as I felt very protective of my neck and its high susceptibility to being re-injured. I knew in that match that I was done with the in-ring side of wrestling. I am an all or nothing girl and if I can't give all my heart and energy to every match I do then I am just taking from you, my opponent and the company. This was a very hard decision to make but the strength of love for my well being ultimately always wins my ego battle and I am very proud to value and know just how precious life is."

you could tell in Christy's in-ring performance she was hesitant and scared. poor girl. I am happy TNA has something else for her. She still is one of the my favorites in the company just as a personality.

I DONT want Lacey in WWE. The divison will be worse then it is with her in it. She just needs to get out of wrestling and go back to modeling.

They should bring back Crystal Louthan to interview....she was fun and charismatic. Isn't she still dating James Storm?

With Christy Hemme I understand her concern for her health & safety but I'm glad TNA stuck by her and made her a backstage interviewer instead of just releasing her I will miss Hemme in the ring but as long as she is happy and still with TNA I'm happy.

I like Lacey Von Erich and I'm a fan of hers. I don't want to see her leave TNA I know and will admit she sucks in the ring as a wrestler and really doesn't have the heart for wrestling and a negative attitude though which isn't good so I don't know what going to happen with her but she probably won't last too much longer in the company.

I don't think that is legally possible. What about her 60 day or however long it is no compete clause? Does that only mean she can't have a match or does it ban someone from not being on a rival show? She could be in the audience right?

I don't want her to leave the wwe anyways so I don't even like your idea.

a 90 day no compete clause means you cant wrestle for any company at all until the clause is up
