Reality Show Fights: The Best Punches, Slaps and Spits (VIDEO)

If you've been watching 'Jersey Shore'
-- and if you know what's good for you, you have -- you may have heard
about petite guidette Snooki's getting clocked in the face by a mystery
male assailant. (The promo was everywhere for a while, but was pulled
after MTV edited the punch out of the episode, which airs tonight.)

The idea of the punch (and the sight of it, for those of us who've
watched it) is alarming for a few reasons. First and foremost, the
image of a man hitting a woman squarely in the face is shocking; most
reality show fights that escalate to physical violence are between two
men or two women. Furthermore, these reality show fights rarely involve
actual punches; normally it's a bunch of hugging disguised as
grappling, rolling around on the ground and hair-pulling until the
producers move in. This is the real deal.

But if you've ever been to Seaside, NJ, you aren't surprised by this
use of unnecessary violence over what was probably an argument about a
slice of boardwalk pizza or a discussion of Yankees vs. Mets. Also, if
you've seen a reality show in the past five years, you aren't surprised
that someone caught a bad one. We've compiled the best
punches/slaps/etc. of the last few years in the wonderful world of
reality television.

1. Danny vs. Mystery Attacker, 'The Real World: Austin'
The ever-cocky Danny quickly realizes how dangerous just one simple
punch from a person can be. During quarrel at a bar -- most likely
brought on by the presence of cameras everywhere -- a mystery bro
hammers Danny near his eye socket. In a worse-case scenario, according
to doctors, Danny could have lost vision in his eye. It turns out, the
attacker, one Ryan Getman, is acquitted of the charges. Danny will
think twice about messing with the locals next time.

2. Pumkin vs. New York, 'Flavor of Love'
Wait, the contestants competing for Flava Flav's affection aren't the
classiest people in the world? You have to be kidding us. During a spat
with the now-"famous" New York, Pumkin spits directly on the petite
drama queen in a clip that has been repeated in slow motion more than
Dwight Clark's TD catch of Joe Montana's in the 1982 NFC Championship
Game. They fight for a second and are quickly broken up, but the
lasting image is that gross glob landing on New York. Yuck.

3. Irene/Stephen, 'The Real World Seattle'
In what has become the most infamous moment in 'Real World' history,
housemates Stephen and Irene are involved in a fight that escalates to
Irene's telling Stephen that he is gay. (For the record, he has since
come out.) This enrages Stephen so much that he chases down her car,
flings her door open and slaps her in the face. The Slap Heard Round
'The Real World' almost causes Stephen's ejection from the house, until
the housemates vote to keep him there under the condition that he
attend anger management classes. He should have taken the course called
Don't Hit Girls, one you normally take when you are three years old. Check out the clip here.

4. Joe Rogan vs. Jonathan Baker, '
Fear Factor'
This fight is especially entertaining because it doesn't only involve a
fight between two reality show contestants -- it also involves the
host. Initially, Baker's wife punches Jonny Fairplay -- probably with
reason, knowing Fairplay -- which outrages host Joe Rogan. He
reprimands Baker and his wife, which angers Baker, who approaches
Rogan. Rogan -- a black belt in Tae Kwon Do -- responds by hitting
Baker a few times as they wrestle around. Savor it, as you probably
won't see a host and a contestant fight each other again for a long
time.

5. Heather vs. Daisy, 'Rock of Love 2'
At the reunion show for 'Rock of Love 2,' tensions flare as the girls
decide who is the "realest" and most deserving of Bret Michaels' love.
Heather, seeing the petite Daisy as a threat, decides to pursue a fight
with her, maybe without realizing what Daisy's last name is: De La
Hoya. That's right, she's the niece of boxing champion Oscar De La
Hoya. Her small stature notwithstanding, she puts up a good fight
against the ample Heather, showing that fighting is in her blood. Don't
underestimate the size, Heather!

6. Tailor Made vs. Mr. Wise, 'I Love New York 2'
Wait, so the people vying for the affection of the runner-up on a show
that had her vying for the affection of Flavor Flav aren't the
classiest people in the world? In an interesting (re: possibly
scripted) twist of fate, there is a spitting incident on New York's
show, maybe because the spitting incident involving her drew some major
viral views on the Internet. This time, the prissy eventual-winner
Tailor Made spits on Mr. Wise, and Wise charges at him. In maybe the
funniest reality show fight ever, Tailor made curls up on the couch and
flails his legs at Wise in an attempt to get him away. Yikes.

7. Sheree vs. Kim, 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta'
Kim, a wig-designer, is appropriately attacked on the thing that she
loves the most: her wig. After walking out on dinner, Sheree follows
Kim out of the restaurant. Chasing her down, Sheree wraps her fingers
around Kim's wig and gives it a nice, little tug. She doesn't pull it
off her head -- just enough to shift it out of its normal position.
Hilarity ensues.

Of course there are so many more so if you want post them and discuss. smile

DAMN! I actually saw most of those fights, I LOVED NEW YORK vs Pumkin! It was so entertaining and Pumkin actually spit in her face. I saw Danny get his ass whooped on the Real World Austin, the person that beat his ass really did a number on him. They were so many fights. Portia and Natalie (Bad Girls Club 4) Chima n Russell (Big Brother 11) not really a fight but intense argument , Katie and Veronica (Inferno 2)

Daisy is FUGLY AS HELL! Reality Show Fights! 747915 Ricky is annoying, he serves absolutely no purpose to these shows.
