What is worse?

Being too skinny or being too fat?

I'd just like to see some of your opinions because my friend had a 15 minute conversation with me saying that I'm too skinny and I need to gain weight or I'll end up dying with heart failure. I'm 5'7 and weigh 117lbs and he said I should at least get to 135lbs.

I've always thought it was worse to be overweight than underweight because when you're overweight it puts more pressure on your heart but I dunno. What do you think guys?

i'm clinically underweight and the only thing my doctor worries about is me becoming anemic because of it. i need to gain 15 lbs..

there's far more problems that come from being obese than those that come from being too thin.

i get that all the time. i think being too fat is worse cause it puts u at a higher risk for diseases

Funny you say that because that's who my friend is with. He says she's the perfect woman, she's a little over 200lbs and it's just nasty. She'll walk around with tight ass shirts and her fat rolls are hanging out and everything.

I know too many big women who wear too little clothing

Well my friend is attractive so I think that's where she gets her confidence from. If he thinks her fat self looks good then she thinks she looks good

if only i had that kind of confidence.

Yeah Vix, I'd love to have the confidence that some of these overweight women have. I used to be 185lbs so I was a bit overweight then and I HATED it. Once I lost weight I started feeling a little better about myself but I'm still not quite there yet. I'd rather just stay the size I am but he claims he won't be friends with me anymore if I don't gain weight because he doesn't want another one of his friends to die.

i've never had any weight issues...even after having my daughter. I've always been tall and thin...but still I dont like my looks at all. No matter what people say around me, i still dont see it. i dont have any confidence in my looks.

and i look at big women who dont mind going out half naked and it just amazes me. they have some major confidence and major guts

There are many Pro's and Cons to being both. So yeah, there are medical good reasons for being over weight (i mean average overweight not like you 300 lbs overweight or something) and there are also medical bad reasons for being over weight. Same could be said about being under weight.

And guess that's all i have to say on this topic.

Thats not always the case. A skinny person could eat like 100 hamburgers and not even be affected, because of their metabolism...Or the body may not even be able to handle the amount.
