9/3 WWE results Trenton, N.J.: Cena vs. Del Rio main event, Punk mic work, Air Boom vs. Awesome Truth

(1) WWE tag champions Air Boom (Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne) beat Awesome Truth (R-Truth & The Miz) to retain the WWE Tag Titles. Bourne hit Air Bourne for the win.

(2) Percy Watson, called up from FCW, beat Primo with a nice finisher. It seemed like Percy may have botched a Showtime Splash and hit Primo with a knee in the gut before he won.

(3) Alex Riley beat Jack Swagger with a roll-up counter of the Anklelock.

(4) Mason Ryan beat Zack Ryder. The Big o was ringside exchanging muscle pumps and trash-talking Mason.

(5) WWE champion Alberto Del Rio beat C.M. Punk to retain the WWE Title. Ricardo distracted Punk when he went for the elbow drop. Del Rio then knocked Punk onto his testicles and got the three count.

Afterward, Del Rio tried to hit Punk with the belt, but Punk countered with the G2S. Punk took the mic and said that N.J. should be proud of themselves to get through the hurricane and still make the show. He also said hes trying to make WWE and wrestling fun again; it's just hard sometimes when your testicles hurt.

[Intermission]

After intermission, Eve Torres came out said there will be a dance competition with four fans. Beth Phoenix interrupted and then Kelly Kelly came out.

(6) Divas champion Kelly Kelly beat Beth Phoenix to retain the Divas Title. Kelly won with a roll-up in what I thought was a bad match. Beth is a talented wrestler and Kelly really needs to improve in the ring.

Afterward, they held the dance contest. Three adults and one kid were picked; the kid was cheered and he won the opportunity to meet his favorite WWE Superstar.

(7) U.S. champion Dolph Ziggler beat John Morrison to retain the U.S. Title. Ziggler won in a great match between the two. They worked well in the ring. Morrison went for Starship Pain, but Ziggler countered with knees and then hit the Zig-Zag for the three count.

Next was the main event of Cena vs. the winner of the earlier title match, Del Rio. Del Rio came out first to Ricardo's announcing. Cena came out to a massive pop. Lots of kids in the crowd.

(8) John Cena beat WWE champion Alberto Del Rio via DQ; Del Rio retained the WWE Title. The match started with Ricardo already messing with Cena. The ref sent Ricardo back to the locker room, banning him from ringside. After a decent match, Ricardo came out again to stop Cena from hitting the AA and hit him with a chair. That gave Cena the DQ win.

Afterward, Del Rio and Ricardo beat down Cena, but C.M. Punk came out to save Cena and get revenge on Del Rio from earlier. They both hit their finishers - Punk on Ricardo and Cena on Del Rio. Cena raised Punk's arm afterward and shook his hand. Punk got a great pop. He circled ringside and signed some autographs and shook hands to close the show.

Do you want to see any of these matches happen on Raw/PPV soon or later on?

Air Boom is kind of a garbage name. At least it describes the two.

I want to see Air Boom v Awesome Truth, the Divas Title [so Beth can win this time] and I really want to see JoMo vs Ziggler for the US title.

I would love for JoMo to win the US title off of Ziggler!

The WWE Title matches also seem good.
