The pre-show experience was very fan-friendly. My boys met Mickie James, Kurt Angle, and Mr. Anderson after I bought some merchandise, which was very inexpensive compared to WWE.
(1) X Division champion Chris Sabin beat Garett Bischoff in 6:00. Sabin used his Hail Sabin finisher for the win.
Referee Earl Hebner came out with the Bret Hart sunglasses doing the DX chop.
(2) Knockouts champion Mickie James beat Velvet Sky in 5:00.
(3) A.J. Styles beat Mr. Anderson. Biggest pop of the night so far for Styles. Anderson was hilarious making fun of people at ringside.
(4) TNA tag champions James Storm & Gunner beat Austin Aries & Bobby Roode. They stopped mid-match to watch a plane fly over. Amazing. Roode and Aries walked off, disappeared, then ran in from center-field to continue the match. The tag champs won in a good match.
[Intermission. Earl Hebner sold t-shirts.]
(5) Kurt Angle beat Devon with the Angle Slam in a short match. Angle shook hands a lot before the match.
Main Event time with Bully Ray vs. Jeff Hardy. Biggest pop of the night for both. The kids loved Hardy, while adults like Bully.
(6) TNA World Hvt. champion Bully Ray beat Jeff Hardy in 20:00. Ray used a chain to the face for the win in a good match.
After the show, Jeff Hardy stood in the ring for a paid photo-op. For $20, your whole party got in the ring to get a picture with him. Hardy spoke to everyone and shook hands. Cool guy. Made my kids's year! Overall, ten times better than a WWE house show! | |
