Vin Diesel Confirmed As Groot In Marvel's 'Guardians Of The Galaxy'

Vin Diesel will indeed voice the part of Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Marvel announced the news Saturday night, even though rumors have been circling his involvement since August. Diesel even posted an unsubtle cover photo on his facebook page of the monstrous tree months ago. But, nothing confirms it like a photo of the Fast & Furious star hugging a model of his on-screen avatar in front of a giant Guardians logo.

The James Gunn-directed pic about an unlikely crew of warriors boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Bradley Cooper (voicing Rocket Raccoon), Lee Pace (Ronan the Accuser), John C. Reilly (Rhomann Dey), Glenn Close (Nova Prime), and Benicio Del Toro (The Collector).

[Batista (Drax the Destroyer) and Michael Rooker (Yondu) also star in it and I'm confused why they were left off of the list of stars in this article............ ]

Guardians of the Galaxy hits theaters on Aug. 1 2014.
