The Rock Vs Stone Cold, Who Better?

These two are quite possibly the two most popular superstars to ever grace the WWE ring. Who is your favorite and why? Who will go down in history as the bigger superstar?

I'm going to have to go with Stone Cold on this one. He revolutionized the WWF/WWE during the Attitude Era, and had one of the best gimmicks ever. He's won 3 Royal Rumble's, and even has had his own version of the WWF Championship. (Smoking Skull) His matches were decent, and he was overall a good performer. Not to mention, he was also decent on the mic. He's also been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The same can be said about The Rock, except for his mic skills surpassed Austin's and that he didn't win the Rumble 3 times, nor did he have his own version of the WWF/WWE championship. He hasn't been inducted into the Hall of Fame either. The Rock also sold out, which makes me think less of him. Stone Cold on the other hand, isn't going to be selling out.

To me, Stone Cold will go down in the history books as the greater superstar, if not one of the greatest superstars.

Austin is my all-time favorite wrestler because his gimmick was not just the best but it when over because it was part of wat he was in real life so he played it very well, he was one over the best wrestlers in the ring because he wrestled his game he didn't go on the top rope more then he needed to, he uses ground and pound and technical wrestling and hardcore styles

This debate again? Show's how much WWE has going for them.... Rock is still making movies and Austin is in the H.O.F. and with a PPV, coming up tonight, there's a thread about which of these two where bigger stars?! WOWZER!

I wouldn't say "apples and oranges" with this two. Austin was HUGE at a time when the people were still going "Rocky Sux". Totally different time periods.. Even if it was a few months. lol

As for personal choice.. Rocky. I wasn't a big Rock fan, but I always respected his ability to "adapt" in the ring. He was a great seller and who didn't love his shocked looks. haha

the only fault i found in the Rocks selling ability
was he selled too damned much, gosh, if i ever went to an event with Rock V Austin i would beg for the cheap seats, just incase Austin stunnered Rock, who would bounce into the 12 row at ringside.

he should show Michelle to sell that much, maybe if she took his overselling and pplaced it with her underselling, surely it would even out

Well, as the Scotty fan I am.. I would like to say that Rock was a fan of watching Scott Hall wrestle! Okay, who knows if I am lying, but as someone who watched them both.. They sold a lot alike.

lol yea a lot of ppl really over sold the stunner and some didnt sell it at all like some of the refs but the rock was the biggest over seller on the stunner

Meh, Rock was a heel, but, he still had a pretty big fan base at that point.

Not really. I am talking about when the Rocky Johnson was gonna take the WWF by storm! Then he got "overpushed" backlash.

he got a big push because they had no one to go up againest stone cold so he got the push same as HHH
