Abercrombie & Fitch Co. filed a lawsuit against Beyonce Knowles yesterday, seeking to prevent her from selling a fragrance under the name of her alter ego, Sasha Fierce, reports Women’s Wear Daily. In court documents filed in Ohio, the clothing retailer said that it had trademarked a scent named Fierce in 2003 and sent Knowles a cease-and-desist letter after learning that she pursued a Sasha Fierce trademark in the fragrance category. A&F took legal action on Tuesday in the wake of Knowles’ announcement that she would launch a fragrance with Coty next year.
