Report: Jeff Hardy's Legal Issues Jeopardizing Matt's Push

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Jeff Hardy's current legal issues have put WWE creative in a situation where they are now questioning what to do with his brother Matt. Since Jeff's arrest, there have been several meetings backstage within WWE to decide what to do with Matt on TV. As seen recently, Matt was not used on 2 Smackdown shows, one on 9/15 and this past week's show. Although he has worked a Superstars taping and several house show events against CM Punk, it seems as if Jeff Hardy's arrest is definitely having an effect on Matt's current WWE status.

So...I mean, is this a bad thing?

Why would Jeff's idiotic drug problem have an effect on Matt if he had nothing to do with it?

Matt is a good wrestler and all but Maybe its cause hes supporting his brother and his brother's habit a lil much and WWE dont want to push him becasue of it. :\

Im sure WWE wants their superstars and divas to set better examples, supporting someone's drug habit isnt setting a good example. Like with Rey Rey-He is going from WHC to IC champ to Possible tag champ, which IMO is still a step backwards tbh.

I know what Jeff is doing shouldnt be affecting Matt but I guess thats how the bussiness works. :\

If Matt was a HEEL he be a lot better IMO. He was better on the mic as a heel and he was always better at playing a heel, as a face hes kinda bland.

If they want to push him they should turn him heel again.

Sucks for Matt though.

Mysterio shouldnt be getting a title coming off a suspension right away anyway. thats not setting a good example at all because theyre basically rewarding him for being punished

wtf did Jeff Hardy do??? Quit the WWE, go to TNA... win a title or 2, come back to WWE.. win a couple titles, get caught a couple times with drugs... come back Win the world title, & then leave.. but then get caught with Drugs again, what a fucking idiot..Lol, but man, this is so gay..

I really don't see why this would affect Matt Hardy. He's definitely has more ring savvy than Jeff, is more entertaining, and could be a main eventer. I wish he had stayed heel though.. oh well. He can get a push either way. This shouldn't affect it.

Matt isn't getting push because he's a dull fuck. First he had Edge help him get into the WWE, then his brother Jeff helped him get noticed and a slight heel push.

Guess he'll have to wait for Edge to return so they could light the fire again on that old rivalry involving Lita?? hhmmm

Matt was always boring as hell and now his reason for being used is gone, he's pretty much worthless again

im really not bothered that much. i think its unfair that the idea of his push being stopped over a problem he cant help. But i only like either as a team

AGREED!!! I used to Like Matt but after what He did to Edge and Lita, made me upset with him and I liked him again around WM becasue he was doing a good job as a heel, since he came back from his surgery hes been kinda dull tbh.

He needs to be heel again and stay heel.

But I think Edge may be coming back as a face and feuding with Chris Jericho by the looks of things. I wouldnt mind Edge v Matt again only with Edge as a face and Matt as a heel and no Lita, well since shes gone and happy with her life.

That Edge v Matt feud in 05, It was Edge and Lita who made it a good feud and did the better job in it, just my opinion on it. lol

i like how everyones making Matt out to be the bad guy even though his girlfriend of what....5 years? cheated on him with someone he thought was his best friend....WHILE he was injured and eventually released....and yet Matts the bad guy when it comes to that

Not only that but, TBH all 3 of them were in the wrong but Matt shouldnt have bashed Amy and Adam all over the internet like he did. I didnt like how he handled things. I know he was upset and needed to vent but, he could have handled it more maturely.

But its done and over with Im over it, I think Matt and Adam are civil again.
