John Cena Official Discussion thread

Since he is the new WWE Champion, I think he deserves his own thread. It was announced that he would face both Triple H and Shawn Micheals at Survivor Series. Who do you see winning? Who do You want to win?

I would hope that Shawn Michaels wins. He is definetely who most people will cheer for as he is not overrated as much as the other two. Plus he is a living legend. Besides this, it seems like this is going to be a good match and I will like to see the tension build with these three. Though this may end up in another DX split.

I agree with KJ on pretty much everything. I want HBK to win but it looks like he will take the pinfall, lame

I don't really have a problem with Cena. When his promos are on, I just turn the channel. When he is in matches, I usually fade out. I never got why so many people bitch and moan about this guy like he owns them money, but still watch the guy.

The 3way really doesn't interest me.

they moan cos hes booked the same way. he gets beat down, and then does a couple of moves to a win. he is branded a bad wrestler because he doesnt do a bunch of shit that he isnt booked to do.

People need to get over the fact that the WWE doesn't care what the IWC somewhat demands they do. Cena is stupid over and he makes the WWE stupid money. He also is dependable enough to use continously. You don't hear about how he has a bad attitude. You don't hear how he does stupid stuff outside of the ring. That is why idiots like Brian Kendrick got axed. Who the fuck smokes a joint after they start getting a pushed? Hell, they fired Jeff Hardy back in 2003 for drug issues.

I can't see Cena losing since he just got the belt back and they won't keep having the belt change hands every month

I don't have a problem with Cena, I would like to see him retain.

Does it really? We all liked seeing Triple H get his first world championship, but a few years later we were sick of him. You don't fail something because you know its the truth.

That's ten years from now; it is not relevant right now. The fact is everybody was tired of seeing Orton or Cena or Levasque or Botchtista have a world title in the here and now; it doesnt matter if Sheamus has it for a little bit or has it for forever, its somebody DIFFERENT and that's what counts now.

There's no guarantee he will be this big in 10 years, TRX.

look at Kane..he won the title once...for 24 freakin hours.

not everyone is going to be all over the ME scene like HHH just because they suddenly got a title run. Maybe if Sheamus gets 3 or 4 more runs we could say he's in the spotlight too much.

If they wanted someone different, they could have given it to DiBiase, MVP, Kofi, etc, instead they give it to a rookie. I dunno why your all glad he won, it just means Cena will get his 8th reign in a short time.

Its not about that Vix, its about him being loved by Triple H. Its the exact same as when Triple H began winning the world titles because of his affiliation with McMahon, same with Sheamus and Triple H.

it breaks up the predictability a little bit. That's i like about it. It's something different.


the same can be said for Drew McIntyre...i cant stand him but it's nice having someone new in the IC title scene. Morrison and Ziggler was starting to get redundant.

But we all know Sheamus was going to win because of how strongly Triple H feels and hoq quickly he was inserted into the title scene. Cena winning would have been unpredictable.

I think some of the Sheamus fans are hilarious actually, they'll be the ones crying when he loses most likely tomorrow night. The only reason I keep bringing that up is because Cena is the champion at Tribute to the Troops, I wonder if WWE even realized they were spoiling something when they showed that preview.

Maybe you expected Cena to win but I didnt. I expected the usual...a new heel being built up just to be squashed by Cena..and then become the newest jobber.

Whether or not HHH is repsonsible, it gives us someone new in the main event scene for the time being. Something everyone has been complaining about for a long time...Cena with the title.

Although Cena is set to film a movie soon so i think the title is going to Orton next.

I agree with both Rated X and Vixen, on one hand I love that someone new won the championship, will Sheamus have been my first choice? Absolutely not. I would have loved for Miz, Swagger, Kofi, MVP or someone of that nature to defeat Cena but Sheamus recently won me over so I’m glad he won. Anyone against Cena would have gotten my support if I’m being honest. I’m just glad to see a fresh face in the title scene. Was it to early for him? Hell yes! I don’t care though because Cena is not champion but of course his ass will get his 8th reign shortly so there goes that ;(

Stop whining. HBK has been out of the spotlight since 2004. He has put over Orton, Cena, Triple H, etc. He isn't stealing the spotlight from anyone. Shawn has only one 2 tag titles in 6 years.
