Compare the current divas to past ones

Beth Phoenix- Jazz.
These two are the powerhouses of their generation, theres no doubt in that. Beth used their dominating power and size to get one over on the other divas. Both of them have that natural aggression to them, and are so smooth in the ring, carrying the inexperienced talent to make them look better...All you can say about these two is 'solid.'

Mickie- Jacqueline.
Both of them have similar levels of aggression, where they both rely mostly on the brawling style of things. Both had a DDT and a roundhouse kick as a finisher, with a tornado as a secondary finisher to the DDT. They could do highflying, they could do hardcore...They could do basically anything.

Melina- Ivory.
Similar styles in the ring, using brawling tactics as a heel, and more athletic tactics as a face. Both were a strong, original character as a heel, and were great on the mic, and great at portraying their character to the audience. When they turned face, they lost their true credibility, and were turned into the 'generic' face, making it hard to gain true support like they used to garner.

Kelly Kelly- Torrie Wilson.
Both resemble the sexy, pretty girl next door's, who are extremely over with the audience, even when people question 'but why?' They aren't the best wrestlers, and are frequent botches, but both have that natural athletism to help them excel. They aren't the best on the mic, but not the worst either. Never given a true push in the ring, always sticking to the sidelines and putting over more experienced and skilled talent. Both had always had potential.

Eve- Lita.
No, this isn't because Eve does a diving moonsault now. I noticed the similarities ever since Eve did those dropkicks, as they looked so similar to the dropkicks Lita used to do in the early days. Eve reminds me so much of 2003 Lita, in the way she holds herself, and the style of her clothing, etc. Eve is already dishing out the 'innovative' moves that no other diva in the WWE are doing, and has that unique look to them, while still looking attractive. Both have been managers, and doing a good job at it. Eve is even getting over as a face, just as Lita has. Both aren't the best at speaking, but they are nowhere near the worst either. If Eve keeps improving, she has great potential to be what Lita wasn't.

Jillian Hall- Molly Holly.
Both are the solid performers of the division (though not lately for Jillian), and are usually able to put the other talent to a decent match. They can do the high flying diving moves, the brawling style, and of course, the handsprings! Both of them were given a mockery gimmick which made them look like a fool. Neither of them were able to get truly over, in comparison to the other divas, and both never had the strongest character. They were always the most underrated of the bunch.

Michelle McCool- Trish Stratus.
Both began as nobodies, which led McCool to manage a tag team as the heel manager, just like Trish. They disappeared from the tag scene, and became faces, where they still weren't the best wrestlers, but were showing steady improvement and potential. Although McCool never reached and never will reach the stardom of Trish, or her overness, they had similar careers. McCool was crowned the first Diva's champion, and just like that, the division was being built around her, just like Trish. When she turned heel again, it was a shocker, as her character changed so dramatically, became so cocky, just like Trish's had. Both were pushed as the stars of their generation, and by the end, became rather solid performers.

Michelle McCool- Victoria.
Both were never the most 'over' or naturally gifted in charisma, however they had the natural athletism and aggression needed to be a wrestler. They were both great in their heel characters, and became extremely solid competitors, able to pull off the mat wrestling side of things effectively. Although they aren't powerhouses, they had that added aggression to make them seem like it.

Maria- The Kat.
Bronco Buster...Need I say more? But, both were portrayed as the eye candy of the division, never as serious competitors in the ring, despite Maria getting more of a push. Both have/had potential, they just needed to/need to put in more effort, and improve before they are seen as 'real' wrestlers. They were both over, but never seen as the future of the division.

Katie Lea- Lita.
Both started off as managers, and began to become rather involved in the womens division scene, but for some reason, just came over as slightly awkward in their mannerisms. They were great at playing their character, though weren't gems on the mic. They could both pull out the high flying stuff, or work as the bitch heel in the ring.

Natayla & Gail are in a league of their own, and don't compare to anyone, as they should be the ones compared to.

i think Kelly's being groomed to be the next Trish-like diva. But unlike Trish, I actually like Kelly, aside from her whorish actions.

Pretty good comparisons but in terms of Maria getting a bigger push than Kat, Kat can say she is a former Women's Champion unfortunately.

Yeah I agree, thats why I added it in the end. I just didn't want it to be like, noone can compare to Trish haha.

I seriously don't see the comparison between Melina-Ivory......Melina is just WAYYY to prissy to be compared to Ivory. Some people just sicken me sometimes.


The only comparison that i see is Lita-Katie Lea-Melina, all 3 have this akwardness that just works with them. Ok Maybe Katie Lea not so much....and Melina is a thief....but they all had this akwardness about them and are far from solid, all rough around the edges, sloppy, botchy......but for some reason it worked.

Layla is like Gail and Nattie, in which she is in a league of her own....Shes unique looking and is like well hot brittish....Gail and Nattie are in a league cos they are awsome wrestlers....and Gail tech was the past as a diva

I dunno I always see Maryse-Sable. They both have/had the women want to be them and the men want to be with them thing going on....

Lita-Melina-I think its becasue both used/use the fast paced movset, people consider them "sloppy wrestlers" I know they both wernt/are the best wrestlers but they both are better then most of the other girls.

Jazz-Alicia-I think its their agressiveness that stikes me as simliar to eachother.

I think Maryse is the next Trish not Kelly. Initially I think the WWE wanted Kelly to be that but she just blows in more ways than one. Her sluttiness (real and fake) is nothing like Trish and impedes on her characters following. Trish was liked by females and males. I can see Maryse being one who can gain female following if she turns face much like Trish did her first face turn. Also, Maryse can actually talk and shows some personality other than depending on her ass and blonde hair.

Kelly is the next Torrie or Stacy Keibler

also the kat was a million times more entertaining than maria!!!

i think kelly is a mixture of torrie and stacy

i used to think when melina and mickie were feuding that they would be the trish and lita of the division. mickie being face trish and melina being heel lita(lol she had red hair back then) i saw thought their feud would go on forever but its been off for a long while now!

Hey, those are pretty accurate comparisons. Suprised I didn't really notice that before, especially Alicia/Melina. I think Alicia is a better bumper than Melina and more than half the roster though. She makes moves look devistating.

Also:

Trish-Mickie-Mickie may not be blonde like Trish was but both are very popular have made improvements. both can get over as a face and as a heel. Both have played the underdog role very well.
