WWE Bringing back old announcer?

According to Bryan Alvarez, WWE is said to be very unhappy with the announcers situation and they are currently seeking new ones. It is being rumored that former announcer Sean Mooney (from the late 1980's/early 1990's) could be returning as he was recently sighted at WWE Headquarters in Stamford. This is surprising due to the fact that Mooney has greatly distanced himself from the wrestling industry since he left WWE in 1993.

Alvarez is reporting that there have been tryouts and he also believes that Jim Ross is in a great position right now because of all this.

It's easier to do that than accepting the fact that you and your daughter make crappy decisions. And that maybe..just maybe....the problem lies in the creative and writing departments.

They better not get rid of Striker. He is easily the best announcer WWE has right now. I bet its Josh Matthews and Todd Grisham that they are unhappy about.

Knowing Vince and his train of thought Striker would be the first one to get the axe.

Jerry hasn't been the same as he was back in 04. He needs to go back to supporting the bad guys and bagging the other commentator.

The best thing ever about Cole was the ass kicking that Brock Lesner gave him. That gave me so much satisfaction (even though it's scripted). Brock kind of worked him stiff and he made Cole look like a the rat fink jackass that he is. Good times, Good times.

King is stale as hell too. He needs to go back to being a heel commentator, get new material or hit the bricks with his hair plugs.

Vince is whats wrong with the WWE. Hes an eccentric, out of touch, moody millionaire. He surrounds himself with writers and staff who book what they think HE'LL like, ie silly midget antics and other tom-foolery, and not what the people would want to see.
The blame lies 100% on his shoulders. He hired all these yes-men, but none of them mean a damn thing, because Vince has final say on everything, so even if they do think up something interesting, Vince will nix it or water it down to garbage.
Vince likes what Vince likes, and what he likes isn't good wrestling.
The day he retires will be a good day for the WWE.

Exactly. Vince puts what he wants to see on t.v. not what the fans want to see. And the more that it doesn't work the more stubborn he gets. It's like he wants to self distruct or something. Look at the last Raw. Was all DX really needed in multiple segments? What about Cena's rabbling wannabe Rock promo not to mention that weird ass promo between Vince and Piper. That was the strangest thing I've seen in a while. Even my dad who was walking by asked if the two old men forgot their lines.
