What do you think is the most useless class in high school?

History and Social Studies. UGH

Probably math. I'm never gonna see half the stuff we're taught again in my life.

Calculus however you spell it. Who could read all those symbols in one problem?

IM gonna have to go with Janine and say HIstory and SS.

Me? Dutch (I live in holland..so guess it served usefull), History, Social Studies and..hhmm....dunno, all came in handy every now and then tbh

Woodwork and Technical! It was so pointless! Why would I want to get messy and do manual work?! I can just some cute strong guy to do it for me!

Alot of my classes bored the hell out of me. My favorite kind of classes are ones like Art, or any kind of instramental. Unfortunantly, our education rate here is an "F", so you rarely get good teachers, most are lazy, stupid, rude, just like the students they teach. Apparently, your forced to learn a foreign language now, which is wrong. That should be your choice. If anyone has to learn a language, it's all the foreigners coming into our country. It's bad enough I have people trying to speak spanish to me, like I'm suppose to learn that shit.

But, I don't believe any class is pointless if it's of importance & you have a good teacher who makes it an interesting class.

all the stuff i learned past Algebra i dont use in everyday life so i'd say taking Calculus was useless for me dunno

Well, it's not just spanish, it's anything, I was just making a point that not everyone should be forced to learn a language. I'm french, but I never wanted to learn it, frankly, because i'll probrably never need it & if I do move there one day, or anywhere that the majority speaks something such as german, or french, I will take the time to learn it.

It's a requirement to graduate. Two language credits.

Kevin, simple math.. is necessary, but as for all the complicated bullshit.. it's not. Unless you're gonna be an engineer, you really won't need Trigonometry, half the shit you learn in Algebra 1 and 2, etc.

While we're not going to use these methods for the most part, the whole point is to expose us to ways that pioneers of math solved problems and work our minds in a way that it's never been before.

I completly agree. But you know, like I said, it's people coming here that need to learn there shit. I've had classes stoped because students couldn't understand english. That's bull shit, do I live in America or Mexico?

I noticed many people reckon history is a useless class. I disagree. Although it seems pointless, knowing about the past is an important skill to have, and learning about how different people reacted to different circumstances, etc. If we didn't have history, we would make the same mistakes, now wouldn't we? If we didn't study history, in time, all that was in the past would be lost for good. Studying history and different people also allows us to open our minds, and understand where different people came from. Ever wonder why those criminals are so inconsiderate? They didn't study history xD

For me, English and Legal studies are the most important subjects for obvious reasons. At our school, we can't study legal until like the last two years, which is stupid. Learning about the law is one of the most important things to learn.

I also think Food technology is very important, and guys really need to learn how to damn cook! Although woodtech/design is important, I refuse to do it because I hate it! Art is a pretty good skill to have, and increases creativity, and even music is good.
