Challenge Day

I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this.

I have done it 3 times. It is a program that tries to eliminate opression in schools. And it does some very challenging activities dealing with issues such as sex, race, drugs, alchohol, and many more.

It was featured on Oprah once, and that last time I participated in this it was said they'd have a show on MTV sometime in February.

So, has anyone heard of this? I was just wondering if there was possibly anyone else here that has heard of it, or participated in it besides just me.

no never heard of it but i been out of school 4 years so...maybe it's just after my time.

By the time I'd ever heard of this, I was out of school. What "challenges" do you have to do, Silverz?

Well, we start out doing some fun activities.

We get assigned in groups of 5-6 with one or two adults as well. These groups are called our "family" for the day. Some things start to get real emotional as the day goes.

For instance, there is one activity, called "Cross The Line" where the speaker will announce something such as "Have you ever been made fun of for the way you look?" and if so, you cross this line they have out.

But its not all about crying, there are some really fun things that are hard to explain. Its a great experience. Its hard to get everyone to follow through with it afterwards, but some still do.

So yeah, there is a bit of it. At the end of it, you feel like 100x closer with people you never thought you'd talk too.

I like that Silverz... I wish I had that in school, lord knows I had my issues with other folks.
