| Idina Menzel  will be on the series when it returns! Following weeks of rumors, the Broadway star has landed a major, recurring role on the comedy. She'll play the director of Vocal Adrenaline, New Directions' oft-mentioned main competitor. Another reason to count down the seconds until April 13: Jonathan Groff  will appear as the lead male vocalist of Vocal Adrenaline... as well as a potential love interest for Lea Michele's Rachel.
