It has been a long time since Human Tornado has graced the Ring of Honor ring, since the “6th Anniversary Show” to be exact. An injury kept him out of action for quite a while, and this is the first time since Tornado’s return to wrestling that he has been able to compete for Ring of Honor.
The question then is what is he coming back for? Titles? That’s always a possibility as after all it is the very reason to compete. A legacy? Again, it’s also a strong possibility, every wrestler wants their name to be remembered long after they’re gone. There are a myriad of reasons to step into the squared circle and compete, but for Human Tornado, there is only ONE reason on January 29, 2010 when ROH comes to Los Angeles: Friendship.
Outside of Ring of Honor there exists a strong bond between Tornado and one El Generico. They have been champions together and have forged a very tight friendship in spite of their language barrier. So it was of no surprise when ROH officials were contacted by Human Tornado only hours ago. He expressed his happiness at being back in the ROH fold, but also made known his disappointment in Kevin Steen, especially after seeing the recent ROH Video wire (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIIpe8izix4) as well as Steve Corino’s recent comments on the situation from Japan (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lBhIWDQ ... re=channel). In no uncertain terms, Tornado told ROH officials to give him “Mr. Wrestling” on 1/29 so he could make him pay for what he did to Generico.
El Generico has yet to contact ROH officials in any manner since “Final Battle 2009” despite repeated attempts to track him down, and Kevin Steen simply said, “It’s okay. It’s all okay.” With everything in mind it will be the returning Human Tornado vs. Kevin Steen on January 29, 2010 as part of Wrestle Reunion 4 Convention!
