Look out Orci and Kurtzman, seems Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are the new go-to guys for tentpole typing in Hollywood!

The “ZombielandWriters aboard G.I Joe 2 2_bing” scribes have, in the recent weeks, scored two rather plum jobs : They’re writing the “Deadpool” flick (as CHUD first reported, and the trades have since confirmed), to star Ryan ReynoldsWriters aboard G.I Joe 2 2_bing, and also, according to IESB, are on scripting duties for “G.I Joe 2”.

With “Zombieland” ending up an out-and-out blast, having these guys onboard both “Deadpool” and “G.I Joe 2” – two films many, understandably, assumed would stink worse than Jim BelushiWriters aboard G.I Joe 2 2_bing on a hot day – can only be a good thing. Heck, I for one am actually interested in seeing both flicks now (and I hated “Wolverine” and “G.I Joe”) - I wouldn't pay to see them, but yeah, I'd lend my butt to a free chair for a couple of hours.

It's assumed most of the cast of "G.I Joe" - yeah, sorry, that includes Marlon WayansWriters aboard G.I Joe 2 2_bing - will be back for the sequel.
